Of course, "A Christmas Story" will also be playing for 24 hours straight on both networks starting on the night of Christmas Eve. Additionally, you can stream it on the TBS, TNT, and truTV websites using your cable provider login if you want to watch it at any other time through February 2, 2024, at which point it will no longer be available on any of these services.

After (re)watching "A Christmas Story," you may be inspired to watch one of its sequels, 2012's "A Christmas Story 2" or 2022's "A Christmas Story Christmas." Set six years after the events of the original, "A Christmas Story 2" tells the story of Ralphie's (Braeden Lemasters) Christmas at age 15. Rather than a Red Ryder BB gun, he's now wishing for a 1939 Mercury Eight convertible. Meanwhile, "A Christmas Story Christmas," set 33 years after the events of the original, tells the story of Ralphie's Christmas at age 42, with Peter Billingsley returning in the title role. This time, he's wishing for a new radiator for the Plymouth.
Like "A Christmas Story," both "A Christmas Story 2" and "A Christmas Story Christmas" can be streamed on Max or purchased from Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Google Play, Vudu, or YouTube, the former for $9.99 and the latter for $14.99. Interestingly, while "A Christmas Story 2" can also be rented from any of these platforms (for $3.39 from Amazon Prime or $2.99 from the others), "A Christmas Story Christmas" can only be rented from Vudu, for $3.99.
