Experience
Carmen was one half of the duo that ran The Superficial, a bygone snarky celebrity blog. Prior to that, he worked in local video production around Central Pennsylvania. Carmen began freelancing with Static Media in 2016, writing for Looper, Nicki Swift, Grunge, and The List. He served as Nicki Swift's lead features editor and Static's editorial quality manager before becoming Static's senior managing editor in 2023.
Education
Carmen has a bachelor's degree in Communications/Media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a state school confusingly not affiliated in any way with the Hoosier State.
