Experience
After spending a decade-plus as a graphic designer and self-publishing a series of successful online 'zines, Stephen began freelancing for Comic Book Resources (CBR) in 2005. He quickly became more deeply involved in the site and, by 2006, was editing stories in addition to writing and providing graphic design services. By 2009, he was the site's Senior Editor, a position he held until early 2023. During his time with CBR, he helped launch several award-winning blogs, including Spinoff Online and Robot 6, and was instrumental in developing CBR's overall voice while guiding it from the world of comic books to a broader pop culture landscape, including movies, TV, video games, anime, and more. Now, he's editing with Static Media, focusing on Looper's news coverage.
Education
Stephen has a B.A. in Visual Communication/Graphic Design from Towson State University.
