Experience

Mikael Trench is an award-winning writer with nearly eight years of professional experience in entertainment journalism. His writing journey began during his high school years, where he volunteered at local non-profits that centered around youth journalism. He later gained roles as a Multimedia Video Editor and Arts and Entertainment Editor for organizations such as VOX ATL, SCAD Connector, and SCAN Magazine, where his knowledge of both popular and obscure films and TV shows have earned him several accolades and the opportunity to interview several major names in the entertainment industry. Along with this, Mikael is an award-winning filmmaker who brings his unique experience to the table when diving into his subject matter, aiming to educate himself and others about the nuances of the industry.

Education

Mikael Trench attended the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where he earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Animation. During all four years of college, he also served as the award-winning Arts and Entertainment Editor for the school's publication platforms, where he balanced full-time classes with working around tight deadlines, attending pitch meetings, and further guiding other writers and contributors.
