Larissa Zageris is a writer, educator, and filmmaker from Midlothian, IL. In addition to her novels and pop-culture books, her favorite work includes comic scripts for "The Wicked + The Divine: The Funnies," "Betty Boop and The Heroine of Hearts," and contributions to Shelly Bond's "Insider Art." Larissa is currently developing a YA Mystery podcast, and frequently scripts interactive media. She has contributed essays to Mortified, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, SYFY, SciFiNow, Attagirl, and The Nerdologues.
Education
Larissa holds BFAs in Dramatic Writing and Film/TV Production from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She's currently pursuing her MFA in Dramatic Writing from Missouri State, where she also teaches Acting Fundamentals. She uses her expertise in filmmaking and the dramatic arts in every article she writes for Looper.
